I love ipsy. If you haven't heard of it before, ipsy is a beauty themed subscription service that sends you tiny cosmetic items for $10 a month, with shipping included. With every month, you also receive a super cute makeup bag that is good for everything from purse organization to stashing pens in your handbag. I've been on the ipsy train for nearly 3 years now, starting out with them when I had just started to dip a little more into the cosmetics world. I still love it as a way to learn about new brands and products without shelling out too much money along the way. Plus, I'm a total sucker for things that come in the mail, so this is practically a no brainer for me. Much better than Birchbox in my opinion, it offers a wide range of products for you to dabble with, including hair care products, brushes, and usually a blush or eye shadow. I have finally received my bag for this month, so keep on scrolling to see what I got this month!
Ah, Marc Anthony. I had an intense relationship with Marc Anthony hair products when I was in high school, and haven't touched them since, not for any particular reason other than having a hard time finding the products I wanted in store. Needless to say, I was super excited to see this guy in my bag! I love hair treatments, and having super curly, super frizzy hair, I am always really excited to try something that promises to help smooth out my hair a little. Also being a huge fan of aloe vera, I am really excited to have a relaxing night in with my hair deep conditioning and a good book.
I. Love. Brushes. If theres anything that I'm currently obsessed with, its quality brushes. I had been using crappy brushes for so long, and once I switched to nice, dense brushes, my whole makeup game totally changed. Needless to say, getting a new brush is always really exciting for me. You can never have enough blending brushes, and this one from Skone Cosmetics is so luxe and soft. It doesn't scratch my lids like some brushes do, and this one is silky smooth. Really excited to try this one out a little more extensively in the future.
This shadow is a teeny tiny little guy with a rose tone to it. When I say tiny, it really is tiny, but the cool thing is that the pan has tiny magnets on the back so it could easily pop into a z palette without having to de-pot the shadow or anything like that. I love the press that is on the shadow, the weaving pattern is super different and pretty. The formula is nice and smooth, and Doucce really did a nice job with this shadow.
This is one item that makes me a little nervous, as I'm not a huge fan of coconut. However, I've never tried Neogen products in the past, and getting to try out a new brand is exciting. Thankfully, ipsy makes this pretty affordable for the $10 a month.
Tarteist! This is what I was most excited about to get in my bag. I alway check to see what's coming ahead of time (excitement ruiner, I know) and when I saw I was getting one of these mini guys I was super excited. I know a few people who love these lipsticks to death, and the small size is perfect to just keep in my purse or in a pocket. The shade is super pretty, and I pretty much love anything tarte, so getting this was really exciting.
Overall, this months bag was really great. The value of the items that I received versus what I actually paid was really great, I received a high end product and it's all really wearable. I would totally recommend ipsy to pretty much anyone who likes makeup, whether it be someone who is just starting out, or someone who's been in the makeup game for a while now. I think that its a great opportunity to try out some new brands on the cheap, and possibly find a new favorite.
