It's honestly such a fluke that I ended up with a bottle of the Buxom Full on Lip Polish, but gosh, I'm happy that it found its way to me. Back in the days when I didn't immediately know what I wanted when I was given a Sephora gift card, I wandered into my local Sephora, happen upon these beauties, and decided to give one a try. Sigh. All of the glosses (which there are billions of), have women's names as the name of the polishes. Of course this is great marketing, and I am one of those people who's a sucker for anything with my name on it. Honestly, it felt like when you find one of those keychains with your name on it. Childish excitement, seriously. I was pumped. I purchased the shade Emily, which is a gentle pink polish with a slight shimmer. Beautiful neutral.
According to Sephora, they are meant to be a plumping polish with a refreshing tingle effect. I can't say that they really plump my lips much, but they feel absolutely amazing on. The tingling sensation is so cool. One thing they don't really highlight about these polishes is how moisturizing they are, which is a serious misstep by Buxom, because these moisturize so well. I was struggling with my lips after a solid week of some matte lipstick wear, and they were chapped, and honestly, not looking so hot. I popped on a coat of this gloss, and within the hour they were back to normal and looking awesome.
Looking for a plumping effect only? Then I'd probably pass on these polishes. Looking for an overall amazing polish, moisturized kisses and shimmer? Then I would absolutely recommend these polishes to anyone who's looking for a good day to day neutral.
