I am a big fan of freshly painted nails. Hell, I love a manicure. There's nothing better than some fresh acrylic and french tip. But in all reality, that gets way too expensive way too fast, getting fills sucks, and the salon smells so strong I'm left with a migraine for the rest of the day. Plus, my nails still haven't recovered from the last set of acrylic put on about 4 months ago. Nothing worst than deep ridges in your nails. I recently received a full size bottle of the Ciaté paint pot in the color PP018- Dangerous Affair within my Ipsy subscription bag. I had had Ciaté polishes in the past, but there wasn't much that was too memorable about them, usually snagging them at TJMaxx for a few dollars. However, I was pretty pumped about this color coming in my bag, because I was seriously lacking in the fall nail color department. Dangerous affair is a deep red wine shade in the bottle.
The polish is thinner in consistency, way easier to apply than my Orly polishes. Since the formula is on the thin side, it can take a couple coats for the polish to hold up and the color to be solid on the nail without streaks. Impatient me was also thrilled to see that the polish dried super fast, and with an average amount of shine. Not quite a gel polish shine, but not dull either. Plus the color is super pretty on, and compliments my pale skin tone pretty well. Being a sucker for packaging, I was a little let down that they opted to remove the little bows from the bottles and just printing it on the sticker, which is no big deal.
So far, I'm loving this color and may look into getting more Ciaté polishes if the polish holds up over the next few days.
Overall, I would definitely suggest this polish for fall and the holidays. It's a nice smooth formula, pretty color, and dries super quick.
